Teresa Bejan received a B.A. from the University of Chicago, an M.Phil from the University of Cambridge, and a Ph.D. from Yale University. She has taught at Columbia University, the University of Toronto, and Oxford University where she is currently a Fellow of Oriel College. Professor Bejan's book, *Mere Civility: Disagreement and the Limits of Toleration* (Harvard University Press) has been widely reviewed and praised as a work of academic scholarship, as well as an important piece of public philosophy for contemporary political debate.
